Quartz Sand Powder Making Machine Grinding Mill
Quartz sand is a hard, wear-resistant, chemically stable silicate mineral. Its main mineral component is SiO2. The color of quartz sand is milky white, colorless and translucent, hardness is 7. The quartz sand is widely used in glass. Casting, ceramics and refractory materials, smelting ferrosilicon, metallurgical flux, metallurgy, construction, chemicals, plastics, rubber, abrasives and other industries. Quartz sand is the main glass raw material, and the purity of quartz sand (ie, it does not contain polluting impurities) is of special significance. High-grade glass sand has a high silica content of 98.5-99.8%.
Quartz stone mined from the mine after crushing, the product with a fineness of less than 120Mesh is called quartz sand. Products over 120Mesh are called quartz powder.
Quartz sand is processed by natural quartz ore by crushing, screening and washing. Its appearance is polygonal, spherical, pure white, with high mechanical strength, strong ability to intercept dirt, and good acid resistance.
The quartz has a hardness of 7 and a specific gravity of about 2.65. The color is milky white, light yellow, brown and gray. Quartz has high fire resistance and the melting point is 1730 degrees Celsius. Quartz sand (powder) production process can be divided into dry and water production methods, various conventional specifications: 6-10M, 10-20M, 20-40M, 40-80M, 80-120M, 120M, 200M, 260M, 325M, 600M. In addition, the special-shaped specifications can be processed according to customer requirements, and the particle size distribution can also be processed generally.
